Manafort Denies Trump Had Second Thoughts About Pence

On this weekend’s broadcast of  “Fox News Sunday,” presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s campaign manager, Paul Manafort said the reports that Trump was on the phone late Thursday night asking if he could change course on the Pence pick were not true.

Manafort said, “There was never any doubt on Thursday. What we were talking about Thursday night was because of the tragedy in the world, postponing his announcement which was scheduled for Friday morning. He made his decision and he called Gov. Pence on Wednesday. Gov. Pence was in New York. He wasn’t there to shop. He was there to be announced. So as far as Trump was concerned, the details were what we were taking about not the decision. ”
