On Tuesday’s broadcast of “MSNBC Live,” Clinton Campaign Press Secretary Brian Fallon stated that it was “no small feat to even entertain” the changes to the Clinton Foundation that the Clintons have agreed to, and the Foundation is “not something that they want to close up shop and cease to perform.”

Fallon praised the “life-saving” work of the Clinton Foundation, and stated the Foundation has taken “unprecedented steps” to avoid the appearance of conflicts of interest. He continued by citing the agreements made when Hillary became Secretary of State, which he said weren’t small steps, and steps that the Clintons would take further.

He added, “Kristen, the reality is that the president has said he’s not going to be involved in the foundation, if Hillary Clinton is elected as president, and they’ve already announced plans to spin-off certain aspects of the foundation’s work, and these steps are not taken lightly, because this is actually going to drastically curtail the type of important work that goes on across the globe. So, it is no small feat to even entertain these types of changes, but the Clintons are very — extremely proud of this work. It is not something that they want to close up shop and cease to perform.”
