Carville on Hillary 2020: ‘Once Somebody Runs for President They Always Want to Be President’

Sunday on New York AM 970’s “The Cats Roundtable,” Democratic strategist James Carville discussed the prospects of failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s prospects of running again in 2020.

Host John Catsimatidis asked Carville if Clinton still wants to run, to which Carville said although he has yet to hear her say she wants to run again, his “general rule” is that once somebody runs, “they always want to be president.”

“I know she wanted to be president at one time in her life. I have no idea what she’s thinking now. I haven’t talked to her in a while. I don’t have any information to share with you, other than my general rule is that once somebody runs for president they always want to be president,” Carville shared. “A lot of people voted for her. She got 3 million more votes than Trump got. So somebody liked her out there.”
