Dem Rep. Himes Won’t Acknowledge No Evidence of Russian Collusion — Says Investigation ‘Prematurely Concluded’

Representative Jim Himes (D-CT) on Friday’s “Fox & Friends” defended the House Democrats launching a probe into possible collusion between Russia and President Donald Trump, saying the Republican-controlled House “abruptly stopped” the investigations.

Without citing evidence of collusion, Himes pointed to Michael Cohen being sentenced for lying to the House committee and Roger Stone’s arrest for lying as reasoning the previous House’s investigation should not have been “prematurely concluded.”

“What we need to do is follow up on, first of all, the fact that some folks lied to us, and secondly, an awful lot of questions that we had when the investigation was, in my opinion, prematurely concluded,” Himes stated.
