A Florida man was arrested and charged with domestic battery for reportedly throwing a cookie at his girlfriend’s forehead, police said.

Police arrested Wade Smith, 41, of Zephyrhills, on Sunday after deputies responded to a domestic dispute call at the residence where he lives with his girlfriend, WFLA reported.

Smith’s girlfriend reportedly told police her boyfriend “threw a hard piece of cookie and hit her in the forehead,” according to WFLA.

Deputies noted in an arrest report that the top of the woman’s forehead was red near her hairline when they responded to the incident.

The 41-year-old allegedly admitted to authorities that he was the one who threw the cookie in her direction without her permission.

Smith is being held in the Pasco County Jail on $500 bond as of Monday, according to jail records obtained by NBC 6 Miami.
