President Barack Obama’s Friday itinerary features, what else, more fundraising appearances.

His California visit includes a visit to an entertainment mogul as well as quality time with Star Trek Into Darkness director J.J. Abrams.

Continuing his effort to raise money for the Democrats’ midterm campaigns, President Obama will return to California on June 7 for a series of fundraisers, including a luncheon at entertainment executive Peter Chernin’s Santa Monica home, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Deadline.com reveals some of the industry heavy hitters who will be on hand for the swanky events.

And he’s breaking bread will some heavyweights. Longtime Obama supporter Disney boss Bob Iger flew back directly from Fortune mag confab in China to make the lunch. Fox Film chief Jim Gianopulos is also there as is Haim Saban, I’ve learned. StarTrek/Star Wars director JJ Abrams and his wife Katie McGrath are in attendance. HBO’s Mike Lombardo and his partner Sonny Ward, who held a fundraiser for the Obama/Biden campaign in the their home last year, are at the former News Corp President and COO’s house too.

The area in question itself also is chockablock with stars. It’s near the famed Brentwood Country Mart, a spot where celebrity watchers can typically get an eyeful.

The market has attracted the Hollywood set from the very beginning (Shirley Temple used to appear in its ads), and a typical day often finds a celeb or two browsing the shops. Most recently, Naomi Watts was sighted going to the Mart with her two sons, Sasha and Samuel.
