Homophobe Alec Baldwin Turns to Self-Parody as HBO’s NYC Mayor

With his days as a cinematic leading man more than a decade behind him, serial-homophobe Alec Baldwin has agreed to executive produce and star in a HBO series that reeks of self-parody. After languishing in a supporting role for 7 years in the basement-rated NBC sitcom “30 Rock,” Baldwin will star in a role he openly coveted in real life: the Mayor of New York City.

Baldwin’s political aspirations were killed off, along with his low-rated MSNBC show, after the Oscar-less actor engaged in horrific acts of homophobia that would kill the career of anyone who is not a card-carrying Leftist. Fantasyland will give the actor what eludes him in the real world:

“The character is a philanthropist, a big businessman and well-known tabloid fixture in New York,” Baldwin said. “He’s Trump without the baggage, Bloomberg but a Democrat, George Soros if he was in real estate, a left-leaning Democrat who is also a businessman who understands the reality of how the city has to be run to create the right climate for the business community. He’s drafted for this run because the alternative would be catastrophe.

Though there’s little doubt Baldwin’s fiction/real-life character will take numerous potshots at the tabloids who regularly caught him in his homophobia acts, there is no word yet on whether or not the Baldwin’s fictional/real-life character will regularly hurl anti-gay slurs and threaten homosexuals with mob violence.

Via Twitter, Breitbart News reached out to Alec Baldwin to ask how many times he had to lick Obama’s boots in order to earn Hollywood’s forgiveness for his homophobia. He did not immediately respond.

***UPDATE: Baldwin (kind of ) responds:
