Celebrities Share 9/11 Tributes on Social Media

Hollywood stars Mark Wahlberg, William Shatner, Beyonce and Juliane Moore are among the millions of people remembering those lost on September 11, 2001.

Nineteen Islamic terrorists hijacked four commercial airliners, all fully-fueled and headed for the west coast, 14 years ago Friday.

In a coordinated terrorist attack orchestrated by Osama bin Laden, and masterminded by Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, a total of 2,977 people were killed between New York City, Washington, D.C., and a field located just outside of Shanksville, PA.

As Americans remember the tragic day, a number of celebrities have taken to social media to share their tributes:
