H.R. McMaster ‘Not Sure’ if Trump will Move U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem

The Times of Israel reports: US National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster said Sunday that he did not know whether President Donald Trump would decide to relocate his country’s embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

“I’m not sure what decision he’ll make. We’ve given him options,” McMaster told Fox News. “There are options involving the move of an embassy at some point in the future, which I think, you know, could be used to gain momentum toward a — toward a peace agreement, and a solution that works both for Israelis and for Palestinians,” McMaster added.

Trump has until Monday to decide whether to once again sign a waiver delaying a move of the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. On Wednesday, according to the American news site Axios, Trump will give a speech recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. The White House has not confirmed this.
