Iranian Dictator to ‘World’s Youth’: U.S. ‘Double Standards’ Support Terrorism

Iranian ‘Supreme Leader’ Ali Khamenei has penned a new letter to the world’s youth, condemning America and the West for its “double standards” following the recent Islamic State-launched attacks in Paris that killed 130 people and wounded hundreds more.

“Anyone who has benefited from affection and humanity is affected and disturbed by witnessing these scenes — whether it occurs in France or in Palestine or Iraq or Lebanon or Syria,” said Khamenei, in an article published on the dictator’s website.

In writing his note, the Iranian despot seeks to blame the Palestinian terror attacks against innocent Jews and the civil strife in Syria on a western-backed plot against the Islamic world.

To Iran’s theocratic leadership, the United States’ backing of forces opposed to Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad means they have formed an alliance with jihadi Sunni forces.

“It is correct that today terrorism is our common worry,” he said, claiming the “contradictory policies” of the United States allowed for the “creating, nurturing and arming” of “Al-Qaeda, the Taliban and their inauspicious successors.”

He then discussed “the state terrorism of Israel,” excusing Palestinian terror campaigns as legitimate resistance against the “Zionist regime.”

“The other side of these contradictory policies is seen in supporting the state terrorism of Israel. The oppressed people of Palestine have experienced the worst kind of terrorism for the last sixty years,” Khamenei said. “If the people of Europe have now taken refuge in their homes for a few days and refrain from being present in busy places – it is decades that a Palestinian family is not secure even in its own home from the Zionist regime’s death and destruction machinery. What kind of atrocious violence today is comparable to that of the settlement constructions of the Zionists regime?”

“The military invasions of the Islamic world in recent years – with countless victims – are another example of the contradictory logic of the West,” Khamenei added. “The pain that the Islamic world has suffered in these years from the hypocrisy and duplicity of the invaders is not less than the pain from the material damage.”

This is the second time that Khamenei has written a letter specifically addressed to the youth in the West, seeking to propagandize them with the sentiments of his clerical regime. His first letter came following the January, 2015 jihadi attacks against the Paris offices of Charlie Hebdo, and the assault on a French Kosher supermarket that left 17 dead.
