86 people killed in central Nigeria violence: police

Jos (Nigeria) (AFP) – Eighty-six people were killed in an attack by suspected nomadic herders against farming communities in Plateau state, central Nigeria, police said on Sunday.

Police commissioner Undie Adie said a search of villages in the Barikin Ladi area of the state after violence on Saturday found “86 persons altogether were killed”.
