There is evidence people are expressing a reluctance to engage in a service resulting in “strangers” coming on property to locate and mark buried utilities. The issue is happening throughout Alberta.

When owners of underground infrastructure come to locate and mark buried utilities in response to a request, they are wearing appropriate PPE (personal protection equipment), maintaining physical distancing protocols and there is no danger to homeowners related to COVID-19.

This is critically important to the safety of Albertans.

The President of Alberta One-Call, Mike Sullivan, is available for interviews, in English or French.
