‘One Battle,’ ‘Hamnet,’ ‘Pitt,’ ‘Studio’ win big at Globes

Jan. 11 (UPI) — Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another — starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Benicio del Toro, Chase Infiniti and Sean Penn — won the Golden Globe Awards for Best Comedy Film, Best Screenplay and Best Director in Los Angeles Sunday.

Cast member Teyana Taylor also scored the honor for Best Supporting Actress in a Film.

Jessie Buckley was deemed Best Actress in a Drama Film for Hamnet, which earned the accolade for Best Drama Film, as well.

Wagner Moura collected the Globe for Best Actor in a Drama Film for The Secret Agent, Timothee Chalamet won Best Actor in a Comedy Film for Marty Supreme, Rose Byrne was voted Best Actress in a Comedy Film for If I Had Legs I’d Kick You and Stellan Skarsgard won the Best Supporting Actor in a Film trophy for Sentimental Value.

Sinners won the awards for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement, and Best Original Score.

Noah Wyle earned the Globe for Best Actor in a TV Drama for The Pitt, which was also named Best TV Drama, and Rhea Seehorn was deemed Best Actress in a TV Drama for Pluribus.

Jean Smart scored the honor for Best Actress in a TV Comedy for Hacks.

Seth Rogen went home with the Best Actor in a TV Comedy statuette for The Studio, which also won for Best TV Comedy.

Amy Poehler won for Best Podcast for Good Hang and Ricky Gervais won for Best Stand-Up Comedy Special.

Both Poehler and Gervais have hosted the Globes ceremony in years past.

Nikki Glaser hosted the 2026 edition of the gala, which aired on CBS and streamed on Paramount+

In the film categories, One Battle After Another led the field with nine nominations, followed by Sentimental Value with eight and Sinners with seven.

On the TV side, White Lotus had six nods.
