Dec. 26 (UPI) — A Maryland woman followed some sage advice given by her sister and ended up winning a $50,000 lottery prize thanks to the timely tips.

The Baltimore County woman told Maryland Lottery officials her sister gave her some advice for mixing up her lottery routine, and those tips led to her buying a $5 Money Maker ticket at High’s convenience store on Dolfield Boulevard in Owings Mills, which was not her usual lottery spot.

The player scratched her ticket off while watching TV at home later and revealed a matching number 20, earning a $50,000 prize.

The woman called up her sister to confirm the win.

“This doesn’t look real,” the woman recalled saying.

The sister, a lottery aficionado, confirmed the ticket sounded like a big winner.

The big winner said some of her winnings will go toward throwing a holiday-themed pajama party.
