Jan. 27 (UPI) — The Tennessee Titans plan to hire former New York Giants coach Brian Daboll as their offensive coordinator, if he isn’t hired as head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders.
Sources told ESPN, CBS Sports and The Athletic about the development Tuesday, the same day the Raiders conducted their second interview with Daboll.
Daboll, who was fired in November, led the Giants to a 20-40-1 over the last four years. They went 1-1 in postseason play. The Titans fired former coach Brian Callahan in October, just six games into his second season.
The Titans hired Robert Saleh last week as their new head coach. Nick Holz served as the Titans’ offensive coordinator the last two seasons under Callahan.
The 2025-26 Titans went 3-14, with the second-worst offense in the NFL. They ranked 21st defensively. The Titans also went 3-14 in Callahan’s first season. They had the league’s No. 26 offense and No. 2 defense that year.
Former Washington Commanders offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury was among the other candidates linked to the Titans’ offensive coordinator vacancy.
Daboll previously interviewed for the Buffalo Bills’ head coach opening, which was filled Tuesday by Joe Brady. He also was a candidate to be the Philadelphia Eagles’ offensive coordinator and Los Angeles Chargers offensive coordinator, in addition to his link to the Raiders.
