Watch live: White House to give briefing on potential government shutdown

Jan. 19 (UPI) — The White House will provide a briefing on the potential government shutdown Friday morning.

Mick Mulvaney, Office of Management and Budget director, and Marc Short, White House director of legislative affairs, are expected to address the possibility that, if the Senate cannot resolve budgetary issues by the Friday deadline, certain operations of the federal government will be suspended.

The briefing is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m.
