Gabrielle Giffords, Mark Kelly Writing Book to Encourage Gun Control

Gabrielle Giffords and her husband Mark Kelly are collaborating on a book titled Enough: Our Fight to Keep America Safe from Gun Violence, scheduled to be released in June.

According to The Salt Lake Tribune, the book is an outgrowth of Giffords’ “[chastisement of] senators who blocked gun legislation that included expanded background checks and a ban on assault weapons.”

Kelly described the purpose of the book: “As Second Amendment supporters and gun owners ourselves, we hope our book rouses the long-overdue conversation our country needs to make responsible changes to our gun laws so that no more precious lives are lost.”

Breitbart News has previously reported how the gunman who attacked Giffords in 2011, the gunman who opened fire in an Aurora, CO theater, the employee who killed co-workers at the D.C. Naval Yard, the man who murdered a TSA officer at LAX, the student who killed one other and then himself with a shotgun at Arapahoe High School, and the gunman who killed two people before killing himself with a shotgun at a mall in Columbia all had one thing in common: they passed the very background checks Giffords and Kelly claim will “keep America safe from gun violence.”
