A woman in Limestone County, Texas, used a six-shooter to convince an alleged home intruder that he was one step away from death.

The woman, Laura Williams, then held the intruder at gunpoint while her daughter called police.

ABC 13 reports that the incident began when the man, 47-year-old Allen Tompkins, woke Williams up by ringing the doorbell. She answered the door to find Tompkins standing there with a shovel, asking about a woman who did not live at the residence.

When she told Tompkins the woman did not live there he walked to edge of the yard but did not leave. Williams woke up her daughter and told her to gather the dogs and go into the master bedroom. Williams followed and when they both reached the bedroom they heard the front door splintering. Tompkins was allegedly kicking it and hitting it with a shovel.

Williams retrieved her six-shooter, walked into the front room, and confronted Tompkins. She said, “I aimed it at him and said, ‘If you take one more step I’ll kill you.'”

Tompkins turned to walk away, telling Williams to “leave [him] the F alone” before he did. Williams responded, “I don’t even know you, get out of my house.”

Police arrived and found Tompkins at a nearby trailer park.
