Matt Rosendale’s campaign released an ad on Tuesday charging that Sen. Jon Tester signed up for the Democrats’ “radical immigration agenda.”

In the Rosendale campaign ad, entitled “Montana Fighter,” President Donald Trump calls out Sen. Tester for supporting open borders, sanctuary cities, and the Democrats’ immigration agenda.

Trump declares, Jon Tester, he signed up for the Democrats’ radical immigration agenda. The Democrats want open borders, which means lots of crime.”

“We are going to keep on fighting, and we are going to keep on winning. You’re going to get on your side a Montana fighter – Matt Rosendale,” Trump adds:

Sen. Tester has a history of opposing the president’s immigration agenda.

Tester voted against funding President Trump’s proposed border wall on America’s southern border.

Last October, the Montana Democrat mocked Trump’s border wall, suggesting that the wall will not effectively stop illegal aliens from crossing the border and will serve as a waste of taxpayer money.

Tester said that “we cannot waste taxpayer money with something that won’t be the most effective thing possible.”

In June, Tester backed Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s (D-CA) bill to codify “catch and release” border policies into law.

In February, several red state Democrats, such as Sens. Joe Donnelly (D-IN), Joe Manchin (D-WV), and Claire McCaskill (D-MO), joined Republicans to end federal funding for sanctuary cities. Instead, Tester did not join the red state Democrats and voted with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) to protect sanctuary cities.

At the beginning of 2018, Tester voted twice to shut down the federal government to force the government to grant amnesty to the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) illegal aliens.

Rosendale also recently slammed Sen. Tester for supporting 99 percent of former President Barack Obama’s judicial nominees while opposing Neil Gorsuch’s nomination to the Supreme Court and refusing to meet with Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

“Look at the Supreme Court. Tester voted for President Obama’s nominations of Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan but opposed President Trump’s nomination of Neil Gorsuch. That’s not representing our Montana values,” Rosendale said.

A recent poll found that Rosendale and Sen. Tester are in a dead heat for the Montana Senate seat.
