Executive Director of Wreaths Across America Karen Worcester joined Breitbart News Daily SiriusXM host Alex Marlow on Monday to discuss this year’s wreath-laying ceremony to be held at Arlington National Cemetery on December 16th, 2017.

There are multiple ways to support the effort, details are here:

Thank you for your interest in helping with the placement of Veterans’ Remembrance Wreaths at Arlington National Cemetery (ANC) on Saturday, December 16, 2017.

There is no sign-up or registration required for you or your family to participate.

Worcester said, “Our mission is to remember the fallen, honor those who served and most importantly to teach the next generation the value and the cost and even what freedom is.”

“And unfortunately today,” she continued, “kids are getting a lot of their knowledge of it as politically-based and not patriotically-based and the Wreaths Across America program gives parents a chance to take their children into these cemeteries, 1,300 all over the country, and introduce them to their heritage.”

Worcester also said approximately 1/3 of the volunteers are kids that get involved through organizations like the Girl Scouts, calling it a grassroots wildfire that people seem to be hungry for. “They were the freedom fighters,” she said of the fallen veterans, “we need to be the freedom caretakers.”

Breitbart News Daily airs on SiriusXM Patriot 125 weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Eastern.
