A reporter for a German television station was kissed and groped on live television by a soccer fan, while reporting from the World Cup in Russia last week.
Julieth Gonzalez Theran, a reporter for German TV news channel Deutsche Welle, was delivering her report when suddenly a man with a backward baseball hat enters the picture. The man put his hand on Theran’s breast and kissed her before exiting the shot.
Theran posted video of the incident to her Instagram page:

🔵⚪️ Faltan pocas horas para el comienzo del Mundial de Rusia, nuestra enviada especial @juliethgonzaleztheran se animó a entrar al corazón de la #fanzone. Una misión peligrosa, del día uno en adelante: reforzamos las precauciones. No es un beso, es un ataque no consentido. #mobilereporting #mojo #Mundial2018 #Rusia2018 #DW_Español #Acoso
Not only did Theran handle the incident like a pro, she continued to deliver her report flawlessly.
Theran wrote on Instagram: “We do not deserve this treatment. We are equally as professional and deserving.
“I share the joy of football, but we must identify the line between affection and harassment,” Theran concluded.
Theran is a native of Colombia and reports for the Spanish language component of Deutsche Welle.
