Sony appears to be trying to memory-hole its woke 2016 box-office dud Ghostbusters by omitting the feminist reboot from its upcoming Ghostbusters “Ultimate Collection” box set.
Nov. 21 (UPI) — Supernatural comedy Ghostbusters: Afterlife is the No. 1 movie in North America, earning $44 million in receipts this weekend, BoxOfficeMojo.com announced Sunday.
By his own standards, Aykroyd would have to renounce some of his most famous performances and their lucrative residuals. They include the 1983 movie “Trading Places,” in which he appears in black face, and NBC’s “Saturday Night Live,” in which he famously used the phrase “Jane, you ignorant slut” to demean a woman during the “Weekend Update” segment.
“Ghostbusters: Afterlife” hits theaters next July, and we just won’t know until then if the horrible, partisan, divisive, man-hating, failed, and universally-hated 2016 reboot has indeed been disappeared as though it never existed.
