HOUSTON (AP) — Investigators are looking into whether the sexual orientation of “King of the Hill” voice actor Jonathan Joss played a role in his shooting death in Texas, authorities said Thursday, walking back a previous statement about the potential motive.

“King of the Hill” voice actor Jonathan Joss was shot dead around 7 p.m. following an argument with his neighbor in San Antonio, Texas.

The cause of death for Johnny Hardwick, the stand-up comic from Texas who voiced the character of Dale Gribble in Fox’s hugely popular animated sitcom King of the Hill, remains undetermined.
