County ‘Not Being Informed Which Refugees Completed Their Initial Domestic Screening’ at Nebraska School With Active TB Diagnosis

The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services has not responded to a Breitbart News request for the number of Benson Magnet High School students who arrived in the country as refugees and completed an initial domestic medical screening, tested positive for latent TB infection (LTBI), and successfully completed medical treatment for that condition.

Eighty-Two Percent of TB Cases in Nebraska Are Foreign-Born

The number of U.S. born cases of active TB in the state actually declined from 8 in 2013 to 7 in 2014. But the number of foreign-born cases of active TB in Nebraska more than doubled in one year, from 13 in 2013, to 31 in 2014. According to the Centers for Disease Control, only 61.9 percent of the active TB cases in 2013, or 13 out of 21, were foreign-born.

Nebraska Coach Bans Basketball Team from Locker Room

On Sunday, after Iowa administered a good-old-fashioned butt-kicking to Nebraska in the Cornhuskers’s home arena, 74-46, Nebraska coach Tim Miles gave a butt-kicking of his own to his team, banning them from the locker room indefinitely and barring any player interviews.
