Report: Chinese Military Exploiting U.S. Nuclear Research Partnerships

A report released on Wednesday by the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party and the House Committee on Education and the Workforce warned that China is exploiting joint nuclear research partnerships financed by the Department of Energy (DOE) and some of the sensitive technology China stole has found its way into the hands of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA).

Earthquake and Landslides Rock China

The Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (XUAR) in China, home of the oppressed Uyghur Muslims, was hit by an earthquake of magnitude 7.1 on Tuesday afternoon, the day after a massive landslide struck the southwestern province of Yunnan. The earthquake killed at least three people, while at least 31 have been killed by the landslide.
