Twitter is partnering with Reuters and the Associated Press in a new scheme to combat alleged “misinformation,” following in Facebook’s footsteps by outsourcing part of the company’s “fact-checking” to corporate media organizations.

While promising to crack down on election misinformation on its platform and labeling a large number of President Donald Trump’s posts, Twitter allowed misinformation about Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-GA) to spread virally across its platform freely.

As Twitter increases it’s fact-checking and labeling of posts across its platform, some users have begun mocking the site via parody posts examples. The fake tweets are part of a growing backlash against Twitter censorship that impacts not only President Donald Trump, but the broader conservative movement.

Social media website Twitter labeled posts and retweets by President Donald Trump eight times in just the last 24 hours.
