REYNOSA, Tamaulipas –Two illegal aliens from India were among 74 illegal immigrants caught in an effort to illegally enter the United States. They traveled to South America and human smugglers moved them north through Mexico to a stash house just south of the Texas border.

At the stash house, members of the human smuggling organization placed the two Hindus with multiple other aliens from Central America as they waited for the right time to have them cross the Rio Grande into Texas, information released by the Tamaulipas government to Breitbart Texas revealed.

The Mexican army learned of the stash house in the Villaflores neighborhood through an anonymous tip and deployed a convoy of soldiers to the location. Authorities arrested two members of the smuggling group and apprehended the group which had 46 men and 28 women of various ages. The illegal aliens came from El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, Dominican Republic and India. Also at the house authorities found 11 Mexicans who were waiting to enter the U.S. illegally.

The Texas border city of McAllen, and its neighbor in Mexico, Reynosa, became the focal point of the immigration debate this summer when a shift in human smuggling routes led to thousands of illegal aliens rushing the border daily quickly overwhelming detention facilities in the area.

Reynosa is also one of the strongholds of the crime syndicate known as the Gulf Cartel, a violent criminal organization that is involved in drug trafficking, human smuggling, arms and cash trafficking, kidnapping, extortion and multiple other ventures. The Gulf Cartel has also been behind a number of cross border kidnappings and murders where people in Texas have been killed under orders from the cartel bosses in Mexico.
