CNN commentator Symone Sanders said that Judge Brett Kavanaugh “oozed with privilege” and warned the “patriarchy” in a series of tweets Friday.
“It’s demoralizing to watch the patriarchy in America continue to silence the voices of so many, but the patriarchy’s day is coming. We will not go silently into the night,” Symone Sanders tweeted.

This came after a number of tweets where she attacked Senate Republicans for how they handled the allegations against Kavanaugh, calling it a “rush job.”
Idk if I have the words for how I’m feeling. I’ll try: #BrettKavanaugh’s nomination was a rush job frm the beginning – a lack of documents, arbitrary hearing schedule, document dumps. The addition of these sexual assault/attempted rape allegations changed things – so I thought..

Surely, everyone – regardless of party – would step back given these allegations, call for an FBI investigation and call the appropriate individuals to testify (under oath) before the Senate Judiciary Committee. This wasn’t what happened…

Instead, many Republicans in the Senate embarked on a campaign to discredit and undermine the intelligence and experience of the first woman to come forward, Dr. Ford. They attempted to paint her truth as being a mere pawn of Senate Democrats….

After public pressure, she got her day – but instead of a fair hearing…she got a trial. Dr. Ford bravely stood before the world and told a truth far too many of us know all too well. She detailed how she was violated, how it affected her and why she felt the need to speak up…

Dr. Ford’s courage was powerful, it was infectious and courageous. Prior to her testimony her courage inspired me to tell my own story of a college rape. Unfortunately, many Senate Republicans just seem not to care. I mean these were the people that stand and stood by Trump…

After her powerful testimony, we heard from Kavanaugh. As he sat before the Senate Judiciary Committee he oozed with privilege & looked like a man who had never been met with a challenge. He exuded partisan talking points & refused to call for an investigation to clear his name..
— Symone D. Sanders (@SymoneDSanders) September 28, 2018
Today, Senate Republicans on the Judiciary Committee seemingly forgot Dr. Ford’s testimony. They seemingly forgot the lack of documents and seemingly forgot that Brett Kavanaugh was interviewing for a job, a promotion – that he is NOT entitled to have…

Brett Kavanaugh is not out of the woods yet. His nomination can still be stopped, but regardless of what happens this weekend, if you stand on the side of Justice, of truth…we cannot stop fighting…

Sanders has long been a voice for left-wing opinions on CNN. After American Mollie Tibbetts was brutally murdered by an illegal alien suspect, Sanders said that the real problem was not illegal immigration, but “toxic masculinity.”
Mollie Tibbetts was murdered b/c she told a man to leave her alone while she was jogging. Her murderer happens to be undocumented. This isn’t about border security. This is about toxic masculinity. Mollie Tibbetts lost her life b/c a man couldn’t take her saying no. Full stop.
