NRA Adds 250,000 Members in Four Weeks
The National Rifle Association (NRA) has added 250,000 members since the horrible crime at Sandy Hook Elementary.
This represents a quarter of a million Americans who joined the cause of defending the Second Amendment in the last month alone.
While various pollsters tell us Americans are clamoring for new gun restrictions and are ready for some serious limitations on 2nd Amendment freedoms, the NRA added 8,000 members a day during the first week following Sandy Hook alone.
Now, three weeks later, they have added a full 250,000, which means more than 60,000 Americans a week have been joining the organization since Dec. 14.
This puts total membership in the NRA at approximately 4.25 million.
NRA spokesman Andrew Arulanandam explained the mass flight to the organization:
I would say that every time President Obama opens his mouth and Sen. Dianne Feinstein opens her mouth and they talk about gun bans and restricting the rights of law abiding Americans, people pay attention and sign up.
In other words, these numbers represent a public opinion poll you can count on.
