MA Sen. Warren Praises Obama, No Mention of Victims at Presser

At a press conference on Tuesday morning regarding the Boston Marathon bombing, Sen. Elizabeth Warren did not mention the victims of the attacks or their families. Instead, she praised President Obama.

The President of the United States has pledged his full support in all efforts to keep the city safe and to find the person who did this and bring them to justice. We did not have to reach out to the president. The president reached out to us. He called the governor, he called the mayor, he called the members of the (congressional) delegation, because the president is actively involved here and responding.

Warren thanked the first responders and volunteers who assisted those who were injured following the explosions.

However, she never mentioned the three victims who died, including an 8 year-old boy, or the more than 170 people who were injured, some of them seriously, despite taking time to effusively praise the president.
