Report: IRS Official Responsible for Obamacare Implementation Made 165 WH Visits

The IRS official who is responsible for the agency’s implementation of Obamacare visited the White House 165 times since 2011, a recently released report says. Sarah Hall Ingram, the official, had been in charge of the agency’s tax-exempt division when the agency started to target conservatives and Tea Party organizations in early 2010.

The Franklin Center examined White House visitor logs and discovered that “Ingram attended 62 White House meetings in 2011, 90 in 2012 and 13 this year (through February).” Most of those meetings, according to the logs, “were hosted by Jeanne Lambrew,” who is described as “the Deputy Assistant to the President for Health Policy.”

According to the visitor logs, all of Ingram’s 165 meetings were with White House staff. She was, though, never in any meetings with former IRS Commissioner Douglas Shulman. The watchdog organization found “only 151 of Shulman’s visits were with staff,” Six of his meetings were with Obama.

Ingram not only was put in charge of enforcing Obamacare at the agency after her division targeted conservatives; she also received a six-figure bonus (Presidential Rank Award) that President Barack Obama authorized.
