Homeowner Shoots Robber After Calling 911 and Being Transferred to Voicemail

Last week a Pasco County, Florida, homeowner shot an armed home invader after calling 911 and being transferred to voicemail.

According to Fox 13 Tampa Bay, four armed invaders entered the home, hurt two women, and “demanded money and prescription drugs.”

The four invaders left, which gave the homeowner the chance to call 911. However, when he did, the dispatcher transferred him to voicemail just as the armed men “returned to the home,” so he shot one of the invaders.

Pasco County authorities say they are working on their 911 system to prevent someone in the homeowner’s situation from being transferred to voicemail again.
