Alec Baldwin's Apology Tour Begins with Attack on New Media

An actor renown for his hair-trigger temper is furious with New Media sources which report news at it happens.

Alec Baldwin, doing damage control for his latest hateful outburst, spoke at a San Francisco tech company Wednesday. In the process, he tried to mend fences with the gay community and rehabilitate his fractured public persona.

First, he jokingly told a man in the audience that he loved him “in that way,” but his darker side re-emerged as he slammed the online realm for castigating his outbursts.

There is a drive-by justice to the Internet society,” he said. “They indict you, convict you and hang you on the same day.

Baldwin has been quick to attack an editor at Breitbart News via Twitter and launch into angry tirades at a moment’s notice. The online realm knows all of this and drew its own conclusions.

The fate of Baldwin’s new MSNBC show, Up Late with Alec Baldwin, remains unclear. The liberal news channel suspended the star for two weeks following his anti-gay comments.
