Dan Marino Had Love Child with CBS Employee

Former Miami Dolphins and Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Marino had a love child with a CBS employee the year he was inducted into the Hall of Fame and paid her millions of dollars to keep it a secret.

Marino, who is currently an analyst on CBS's popular "The NFL Today" pre-game show, will be a part of the network's Super Bowl coverage on Sunday.

According a report in the New York Post, Marino "sired a love child with a network underling" named Donna Savattere, who was a 35-year-old production assistant at CBS Sports’ Manhattan studio then.

Marino confirmed the report in a statement.

“This is a personal and private matter. I take full responsibility both personally and financially for my actions now as I did then,” Marino told The Post in a written statement. “We mutually agreed to keep our arrangement private to protect all parties involved.”

Wednesday was Marino's 28th wedding anniversary.

“My wife and I have been married for almost 30 years and have six children together,” he said. "And we continue to be a strong and loving family.”

Marino has worked as a CBS analyst since 2003. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2005, when he fathered the love child.
