MLB, Red Sox, Fans Donate over $600K to Boston Relief Fund

Major League Baseball, its players association, the Boston Red Sox, and their fans have donated a combined $646,500 to the One Fund Boston for the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.

According to Sports Illustrated, MLB and its players association donated $500,000, the Red Sox organization donated 100,000, and Boston Red Sox fans contributed $46,500 over the weekend.

Red Sox chairman Tom Werner and designated hitter David Ortiz presented the checks to Boston Mayor Tom Menino on Sunday.
