Maher Torn on NSA: Founding Fathers Couldn't Have Foreseen Nukes

Bill Maher can’t quite get off the fence about the controversy surrounding the NSA and its secret data mining of American citizens’ phone records, though he leans toward acceptance of the program. One the one hand, he trusts President Obama not to abuse it, but on the other hand, he wouldn’t trust a future Republican President like Ted Cruz with it. Ultimately, he leans toward the White House’s position, though he admits it’s because he’s afraid of nuclear weapons and would rather deter their use by any means.
