Time magazine’s Mark Halperin and MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski questioned the accuracy of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s response to criticisms over her defense of a child rapist in the 1970s.
Halperin did argue that Clinton could defend herself by arguing everyone has a right to counsel, “based on the facts we know them now, what some would call in a different era slick answers” which “doesn’t serve her well.”
He also said Clinton should give “fully truthful, well thought through answers, which this does not appear to be.” Brzezinski added that Clinton’s untrue response to criticism “points to a bigger problem.”
