Former CIA Officer: UK Multiculturalism Created Homegrown Radicalism

Former CIA covert operations officer Mike Baker argued that the United Kingdom’s embrace of diversity and multiculturalism is responsible for the problem of homegrown Islamic extremist terrorism in the country on Thursday’s broadcast of “The Laura Ingraham Show.”

“[The UK] chose this path of diversity.  So people coming into the country they were told, ‘Celebrate your own culture.  You don’t have to fit in, you don’t have to mix in.  We want you to be diverse; we want you to celebrate who you are and where you come from.’  It’s created this mess at this point” he said.

He added “it is a serious problem.  I’ve spent a lot of time with our UK allies and our liaison partners there both at M5 and 6.  I can’t stress enough, not just in the UK now, but in France and Germany, this is a major issue.  I remember talking about this in 2002-2003 and talking about the dangers of these populations going overseas, getting radicalized and coming home.  And people just roll their eyes.”
