TX Attorney General Candidate Smitherman: Battleground Texas Using Chicago-Style Politics

Texas Attorney General Candidate Barry Smitherman responded to the developing scandal involving Battleground Texas’ potential systematic violations of voter privacy laws in the Texas Election Code to elect Wendy Davis. Smitherman told Breitbart Texas exclusively today:

“The revelation that Battleground Texas is unlawfully using information from voter registration cards is incredibly troubling and should not be tolerated.  Voting is a fundamental right that must be absolutely protected from fraud and abuse.  This is another reason Texas fought hard to pass photo-ID requirements for voting, and the Democrats resisted.  These Chicago-style election tactics and invasions of voter's personal information should be investigated and people need to be prosecuted for these abuses.  As Attorney General it appears as though I'd quickly add a lawsuit against Battleground Texas to the seven lawsuits I've filed against Obama's EPA.”
