Shots Fired, Cop Car Destroyed, and Looting on Ground in Ferguson

Following the grand jury’s decision not to indict Officer Darren Wilson — who fatally shot black teen Mike Brown — live shots were fired several times on the ground in Ferguson, Missouri.

Christian Hartsock, a videographer working with Breitbart News, heard two separate rounds of shots being fired.

The first cluster of shots occurred shortly after the grand jury’s announcement. “Witnesses told cops it was a white male who fired the shorts,” Hartsock said. “Cops demanded that everyone clear the street.”
The second round of shots were heard from a “grassy hill” in the area near the fire station. It is unknown at this time who fired those shots.
Hartsock also observed looting of a store and the destruction of a cop car. “People started wrecking a police car,” he said. “They were throwing rocks at it and kicking it.”
In an attempt to keep rioters in line, police have fired tear gas and deployed a tank on the street.
