'Stop Rush' Activist Fantasized About Torturing Limbaugh

For years, activists associated with Media Matters have attempted to undercut the advertising base for Rush Limbaugh’s radio show, with little success. Those activists, who represent a small, hard-core base dedicated to launching secondary boycotts – boycotts against advertisers on Limbaugh’s program – are now revealing themselves as not merely leftist advocates, but some of the fringiest characters this side of MSNBC.

For example, Matt Osborne is one of the chief voices in the Stop Rush campaign. He explains that he is a “Stop Rush volunteer since 2012,” and that his “volunteers contact advertisers – mostly by phone, but also on Twitter and Facebook. We share Limbaugh’s words with them verbatim and then ask them to divest from his program.” Osborne also brags that he heads the website Breitbart Unmasked.

But his true literary talents lie in torture pornography – about right-wing talk show hosts. In a 2,000 word essay he penned as the start of a larger-scale project, he wrote of a particular talk show host:

“(He) objected to our masked, armed entry, but was immediately subdued with the help of a taser. We gagged, hooded, and handcuffed the fat bastard before levering him into a wheelbarrow with scrap two-by-fours.”

“Underway, the three of us in back took turns kicking (him) in his stomach with our combat-booted feet (Top using only his solid prosthetic foot)…”

A remarkable work of heartbreaking genius. And that’s the printable part.

Osborne isn’t alone in this weird universe. Media Matters for America executive and Stop Rush activist Angelo Carusone has written long, involved posts about Bangladeshi transvestites, as Patrick Howley reports:

“Shouldn’t the police officer give at least some details. Such as: stay away from tranny bars, stay away from placese where Eddie Murphy and Robert Downey Jr. have/are visiting, don’t fucking kiss a transvestite, don’t bring a group of transvestites back to your room, etc…”

Carusone also bashes Jews and “ugly” gays. He also wrote, “I am infatuated with the power, politics, prestige and personal elements of The Presidency. A position which I will lust after my life and never obtain; it will forever tease me.”

“Stop Rush is built on lies,” said Brian Glicklich, spokesman for the Rush Limbaugh Show. “They lie about Rush’s words, and they lie to hide their own depravity. This very small band of extremists are not customers, but only cyber bullies determined to project their own emotional disturbance on the millions who choose to listen to Rush Limbaugh each week, and the advertisers who wish to speak with them. It’s time that the leaders of Stop Rush are held accountable for their own words.”

Why advertisers would take seriously the complaints of those whose own writings are exponentially worse than anything Rush Limbaugh has ever said is beyond reason. But then again, so is Stop Rush.
