Koch Brothers ‘All In’ for Amnesty: ‘We Need to Know There’s Going to be No Reduction to Legal Immigration’

Pro-mass immigration GOP megadonor billionaires, the Koch brothers, are going “all in” for amnesty for illegal immigrants and continued mass legal immigration to the United States, a spokesperson says.

In a report by the Washington Post, the president of the Koch-backed LIBRE Initiative, Daniel Garza, affirmed that the billionaires are committed to their latest campaign to demand an amnesty for the approximately 3.5 million illegal aliens who are enrolled and eligible for the President Obama-created Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

Garza said of amnesty, “This is policy that allows DACA dreamers to achieve their dreams but also strengthens America. We are all in on getting a reform that is going to allow that to happen.” [Emphasis added]

Aside from the Koch brothers’ amnesty aspirations, a plan that would cost American taxpayers at least $26 billion, the GOP megadonors are also deeply invested in making sure mass legal immigration continues flowing into the U.S.:

Garza said the group is working on areas of common ground with the Trump administration on dreamers and border security and is pushing for lawmakers to act on both, but it will hold its line on legal immigration.

We just need to know there’s going to be no reduction to legal immigration,” he said. [Emphasis added]

Every year the U.S. admits more than 1.5 million foreign nationals, with the vast majority deriving from the process known as “chain migration,” an immigration avenue that is supported by the Koch brothers, as it allows newly naturalized citizens to bring an unlimited number of foreign relatives to the U.S.

In 2016, the legal and illegal immigrant population reached a record high of 44 million. By 2023, the Center for Immigration Studies estimates that the legal and illegal immigrant population of the U.S. will make up nearly 15 percent of the entire U.S. population.

Additionally, the Koch-backed chain migration process is set to add between seven to eight million new foreign-born voters in the next 20 years if the policy goes unchanged. President Trump, though, has urged the Republican-controlled Congress to end chain migration.

The Koch brothers’ commitment to pushing DACA amnesty and continuing the Democrat voter-building chain migration process would end in amnestied DACA illegal aliens being allowed to bring their foreign relatives to the U.S.

Such a plan, whereby amnestied illegal aliens are allowed to tap into the chain migration process, would result in up to 19 million foreign nationals arriving in the country over the next few decades, Breitbart News reported.

The Koch-supported, Washington-imposed cheap labor economic model of importing millions of foreign workers to compete with working and middle-class Americans for U.S. jobs has helped keep U.S. wages stagnant for decades.

Median earnings of full-time, year-round workers, 15 years and older, 1960 to 2016.

Meanwhile, Trump’s economic nationalist model has already resulted in history-making wage growth for American workers in the construction industry, the garment industry, for workers employed at small businesses, and black Americans.

The historic wages have been secured by increased enforcement of immigration across the U.S., where deportations of illegal aliens living in the interior of the country increased nearly 40 percent in Fiscal Year 2017.

The economic nationalist model is expected to result in continuous higher wages for America’s working and middle class for the next two years, Emerson Electric CEO David Farr admitted last week, as Breitbart News reported.

The Koch brothers’ support for current mass legal immigration levels to continue to benefit big business and corporate interests is out of line with the American public, which overwhelmingly supports Trump’s plan to move towards less legal immigration through a merit-based system.

For example, a recent poll found that more Americans support zero immigration to the U.S. than the current inflow of between one to 1.5 million legal and illegal immigrants admitted every year.
