WE tv officially announced this week it has ordered nine episodes of Sex Box, a reality series that will place couples into a large enclosure to have sex on air in front of a live audience, while a panel discusses their relationship.
The “box” is actually a soundproof and camera-free booth, which will allow participants to have enough privacy to work their magic. Post-sex, they will exit in silk pajamas in a relaxed state, which is believed to make them more “honest.”
They will then discuss their relationship issues, both inside and outside the box, with one another and the panel of experts, which includes a sex therapist and a couples’ counselor.
Based on the successful U.K. series of the same name, Sex Box will premier on WE tv on Feb. 27.
