PICS: ‘March of the Remoaners’ – Anti-Brexit Protesters Descend on London

Anti-Brexit protesters have descended on the nation’s capital clad in blue and yellow and bearing EU flags to voice their objection to the United Kingdom’s largest ever political mandate, calling on politicians to “unite, rethink, and reject Brexit”.

The protest, organised by the People’s March for Europe, is set to kick off what Remain supporters are calling the “Autumn of discontent”, scheduled to coincide with other coordinated events in Britain and across Europe.

Those billed to attend included Bob Geldof, who, during the now-famous ‘Battle of the Thames‘, verbally abused fishermen who had joined Brexit architect Nigel Farage’s campaign flotilla on the river ahead of the historic vote in June 2016.

Tony Blair’s former spin-doctor Alastair Campbell, Liberal Democrat Leader Vince Cable, and Pro-EU Conservative MEP Charles Tannock, who earlier this week claimed an Irish passport because he said he was “quite ashamed to be British”, were also tipped to attend.

Backing the Liberal Democrat position on a holding a second referendum, the event description read: “The People’s March for Europe agrees that a second referendum is necessary, and would offer a democratic opinion on the final Brexit deal.”

Women at the march were seen wearing blue and yellow ‘pussyhats’, which are normally pink and associated with the radical feminist, left wing Women’s March which took place earlier in the year.

The arch-Europhile weekly newspaper The New European tweeted a video of a pop-up orchestra performing Beethoven’s ‘Ode to Joy’, the EU’s ‘Anthem of Europe’, an abuse of the piece Mr. Farage recently remarked would have left Beethoven “horrified to learn that ‘Ode to Joy’ was being hijacked by a band of crooks in Brussels”.

Breitbart London reported that anti-Brexit campaigners ‘EU Flags Proms Team’ will be handing out EU flags to concert goers of the Last Night of the Proms on Saturday night after the BBC’s musical events have been marred by anti-Brexit stunts over the summer.
