Flotilla, trained by Mikael Delzangles and ridden by Christophe Lemaire, gave Europe a first win Friday in the 2012 Breeders’ Cup with a triumph in the Juvenile Fillies Turf.
The French-bred filly surged up the middle of the home stretch to win the $1 million, one-mile race on Santa Anita’s firm turf track by 1 1/4 lengths from Watsdachances. Summer Of Fun was third.
