South Korea’s exports and imports fell in February from a year earlier but the trade balance showed a surplus for the 13th straight month, according to the latest government data.
Exports totalled $42.33 billion, down 8.6 percent from a year earlier, the Ministry of Knowledge Economy said on Friday.
Imports slipped 10.7 percent on-year to $40.27 billion, leaving a $2.06 billion surplus.
February saw fewer days for clearing shipments through customs because of the Lunar New Year holidays, which fell in January last year.
