An Egyptian court on Wednesday overturned a decision by President Mohamed Morsi to sack prosecutor general Abdel Meguid Mahmoud and ordered his reinstatement, state media reported.

Morsi sacked Mahmud in November and replaced him with current prosecutor Talaat Abdallah, causing uproar and accusations that the president was meddling in judicial affairs.
