Mississippi police capture loose alligator wandering neighborhood

Feb. 20 (UPI) — Police in Mississippi shared video of officers capturing a 4-foot alligator that was found running loose in a residential neighborhood.

The Moss Point Police Department said officers responded to a neighborhood in the Barnes Road area this week on a report of a small alligator wandering through yards.

A video shows officers using a catch pole to capture the baby gator while it attempts to hide under an SUV in a resident’s driveway.

Lt. Henry Bouganim, the officer who conducted the capture, said he was only a little worried about the danger from the small alligator during the operation.
