Protester: ‘Rioting Has its Place,’ Boycotting Black Friday Also Important

Friday on CNN, a protester in Chicago, IL said she was out on the streets because “Ferguson highlights the need for us to stand up and protect our young black Americans here in the United States.” She added the protesters are urging people not to shop because “I think we should pay attention to this very real issue, and economic exchange is kind of the one thing that hasn’t been touched yet. I think rioting has its place. I think peaceful protests have its place and economic dissension I think is a big thing that I want to support Brown Friday instead of Black Friday.”
