Dixie Chick Still Bashing President George W. Bush

Like a fading singer leaning on moldy hits in concert, Natalie Maines is still bashing President George W. Bush in the press.

The former Dixie Chicks singer, who drew headlines while critiquing Bush during an overseas concert appearance back in 2003, is once more dragging out her recycled slams against the president.

What’s missing? Any acknowledgement that those who critique the current president are dubbed racist, the notion that the stations that pulled her music back in 2003 did so at the insistence of their audience and any criticisms of President Barack Obama’s Afghanistan War policy or drone attacks.

To me, I was right from the beginning, because it’s my right as an American to speak up and question our President, have my point of view, have my opinion, question what I want to question, and say what I want to say about our government,” Maines said. “It’s very scary to me that people actually think we should just follow our leaders. If we can’t learn from our history, we’re nowhere.
